Masquerade Makeup - Ideas, Inspiration and where to buy so you can DIY
September 23, 2019
We’ve been building our Pinterest boards recently and have seen some really beautiful looks using make-up to create a masquerade look without the mask. We’ve pulled together some of our favourites with video tutorials so you can give them a go yourself!
Top tip: give your look a dry run before your big event to practice. If you find the make-up route isn’t for you, you can always go the traditional route of an actual masquerade mask instead!
Look no. 1 – Avante garde
This great video tutorial from the JC Institute FAB has model Kim and make-up artist Sarah show you how to create the look of a lace mask.
Look no. 2 – White mask with feather lashes
The lovely Lisa Gregory has created a beautiful white mask complete with long, colourful feathered lashes. The look is customisable to suit your own colour scheme.
Look no. 3 – “Bat your eyes”
This look is for our superhero fans. Ever wanted to be Batgirl? Joni Lynne will show you how.
Look no. 4 – Colour burst
If you’re looking for something a little more colourful then try this tutorial for a look that is sure to make an impression!
Remember, practice makes perfect! And if all else fails you can get a beautiful masquerade look from Samantha Peach.
